Job Title Manager, Procurement & Strategic Asset Management

Join a leading research organisation where procurement and strategic asset management play a critical role in enabling innovation and growth.

About the Position

The Manager, Procurement and Strategic Asset Management will lead enterprise procurement planning, strategic sourcing, supplier and contract management, commercial risk oversight, and procurement transformation initiatives, while establishing performance frameworks that enhance value delivery, governance and compliance. You will lead a team of four Procurement professionals working across a complex, high-value procurement portfolio including goods and services. At the same time, you will be accountable for the Institute’s Asset Master Plan, leading asset lifecycle management, long-term renewal strategies, capital investment planning and asset optimisation across scientific, infrastructure and technology portfolios. Working closely with Executive and Scientific leaders, Facilities Management, Safety, Operational Staff, ITS, Finance and key Professional Services stakeholders, you will translate asset priorities into sustainable capital investment programs, provide expert advice on funding and whole-of-life asset costs, and ensure procurement and investment decisions are underpinned by robust governance, transparent reporting and evidence-based decision making.

Who are you

- Post graduate qualification in Business, Commerce, Procurement, Engineering, Asset Management or related discipline.
- Professional procurement or asset management certification.
- Extensive experience in strategic procurement, commercial management and asset management.




- Demonstrated experience managing complex procurement and contract portfolios.

- Strategic and forward-thinking leader with the ability to translate organisational objectives into integrated procurement and asset management outcomes.
- Highly developed commercial acumen, with strong negotiation capability and a focus on delivering sustainable value and optimising organisational expenditure.

Terms of Appointment

This position isongoingin afull-timecapacity.

Salary PSE 9 $141,910 to $153,610.

Salary packaging options are available for general living expenses, meal entertainment, novated leasing and more.

12% superannuation payable, plus up to a further 5% after the first 6 months of service via our matching superannuation scheme.
