About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our client’s multidisciplinary team in Melbourne. This role involves providing evidence-based speech pathology services to adults with disabilities, focusing on enhancing communication skills, ensuring mealtime safety, and improving overall well-being. Working across various settings, you’ll play a key role in promoting positive outcomes for clients within a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions across diverse settings, including homes, educational facilities, and community environments
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists
- Manage a varied caseload, developing tailored communication and mealtime safety plans
- Build strong, supportive relationships with clients and families, providing resources and guidance
Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Full registration with Speech Pathology Australia
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach
- Proficient in client management systems and other relevant IT platforms
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary or transdisciplinary team
- Proven ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
