Our client is a well-established MEP engineering firm with a strong portfolio of high-rise and commercial developments across Florida. As they continue to grow their St. Petersburg office, they are looking to add a licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) with proven experience designing electrical systems for large-scale vertical construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design of electrical systems (power, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage) for high-rise residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and commercial buildings

- Produce detailed construction documents and specifications in compliance with NEC, Florida Building Code, and local jurisdiction requirements

- Coordinate with architects, mechanical and plumbing engineers, contractors, and utility companies

- Review shop drawings, conduct field visits, and support construction administration

- Mentor junior electrical designers and support QA/QC of electrical deliverables

- Collaborate with project managers to ensure budgets and schedules are met





- Stay up to date on new technologies, energy codes, and sustainable design practices

Required Qualifications:

- Active Florida Skilled Engineer (PE) license

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

- 6+ years of electrical design experience in the MEP consulting industry

- Project experience in high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use buildings

- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and lighting calculation software (e.g., AGi32)

- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA codes, and Florida Building Code

Preferred Qualifications:

- LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable building practices

- Familiarity with Arc Flash and Short Circuit studies

- Experience working with local utility companies in Florida

Compensation & Benefits:

- Base salary of $120,000$170,000 depending on experience
