THE ROLE
Kempe Engineering is currently seeking to employ Fitters to work in the Kempe Workshop and our Client’s sites in the South West region of Victoria. As part of this role, you will be expected to work in the branch workshop or on client manufacturing sites doing maintenance and sustainable capital works on fixed plant and mobile equipment.
SKILLS
Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to distinguish suitable materials, method and machine settings to complete works effectively
Produce finished machines and equipment by fitting / assembling metal parts
Inspect, analyze and recording of critical information during mechanical refurbishing process
Check parts for suitable fit, purpose and accuracy using measuring equipment
Using an array of processes (pressing, cutting, grinding) form metal material and casts to fine tolerances
Hydraulic / pneumatic pipe and line maintenance, including threading, bending, cutting processes
Perform diagnosis, fault finding activates and performance on a variety of different machinery
Erect, overhaul and mechanical repair of mechanical / fluid power / mobile equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Recognized trade qualification in Fitting and Turning
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on sites, workshop in heavy industry

All suitably qualified and experienced candidates will be considered. Kempe Engineering will also consider sponsoring applicants under a 482 or 494 Visa or Visa transfer. Salary range will be between AUD $75,000 and AUD $80,000.
