360 Personnel is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Yard Person / Forklift Operator for an ongoing opportunity based in Acacia Ridge.
This is a hands-on outdoor yard position combining forklift operation with general yard and labouring duties.
This is not purely a forklift role. You will be expected to get off the forklift and assist with picking, packing, strapping, loading and general yard duties throughout the shift.
For the right person, this is a stable and ongoing position with consistent hours.
Duties
- Picking, packing and strapping orders
- Handling long-length products and accessories
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Unloading containers
- Stock putaway
- Forklift operation
- Handling long-length materials
- General yard housekeeping
- Manual handling and labouring
- Communicating with truck drivers and site personnel
- Following site safety and Chain of Responsibility requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Current Forklift Licence
- Previous yard, manufacturing, building products or similar experience
- Confident forklift operator
- Experience handling long lengths highly regarded
- Combi-lift or side loader experience highly regarded
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Able to accurately read numbers and measurements
- Good communication skills
- Strong safety awareness
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Important
This is an outdoor yard position, so you must be comfortable working in hot, cold and wet weather conditions.
The role involves both forklift operation and physical labouring.
Long pants and long-sleeve shirts are required while working on site.
