Synergie Australia is seeking an Education Officer for a trusted client supporting the NSW FOGO Grant Project, based inEastern Creek with occasional travel across NSW as required.
The important parts:
- Pay: $55.00 + super per hour| Duration: Grant-funded contract expected through to May 2027
- Hours: 3 days per week, with potential to increase depending on project requirements and funding
- Location: Eastern Creek, with flexibility to work across different sites and travel throughout NSW
What you will be required to do:
You’ll support the delivery of education, engagement and behaviour change initiatives for the NSW Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) Grant Program. Working within the company's Centre for Sustainability team, this role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability, resource recovery and community engagement.
- Delivering educational programs, workshops, webinars and presentations to customers and stakeholders across NSW
- Supporting education and engagement activities connected to the NSW FOGO Grant Program
- Conducting customer site visits to assist with assessments,
data collection and project evaluation
- Developing educational resources, communication materials and engagement tools
- Building positive relationships with customers, local government, industry partners and community stakeholders
- Responding to enquiries and providing guidance on resource recovery, waste management and FOGO implementation
- Assisting with project planning, coordination, reporting and administration
- Maintaining accurate records, customer information and project documentation
To be successful in the role you will:
- Experience working with customers, community groups, businesses or other stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Strong administrative and data management capabilities
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW
- Experience in sustainability, behaviour change, resource recovery, councils or grant-funded projects will be highly regarded
