BM Tekniker is seeking a qualified and motivated Motor Mechanic (General) to join our growing team in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria. We are looking for a dedicated professional with robust mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills to service and repair a variety of motor vehicles.

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.

Relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commitment to high-quality workmanship and workplace safety.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Detect and diagnose faults in engines and mechanical components.
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other vehicle components for inspection and repair.
- Inspect, test, and assess parts to determine repair or replacement requirements.




- Repair and replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service manuals.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups, and other preventative maintenance procedures.
- Reassemble engines and vehicle components following repairs.
- Test and adjust repaired mechanical parts and systems to ensure proper operation and performance.
- Use computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults and test vehicle systems.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and environmental standards.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and provide detailed reports outlining work required to achieve roadworthiness.
