About the Role
You will oversee energy market analysis, trading strategy, portfolio optimisation, and customer risk management. The role includes leading a team of analysts and traders, enhancing analytical and AI capabilities, and managing a renewable energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead trading, analytics, and portfolio management functions.
- Monitor wholesale energy markets and customer exposure using advanced data and AI tools.
- Develop and optimise trading, hedging, and risk strategies.
- Manage renewable generation assets and support asset dispatch strategy.
- Build and maintain trading policies, procedures, and risk frameworks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Robust energy market analysis and trading leadership experience.
- 5+ years in leadership or management of energy trading or portfolio analytics teams.
- Expertise in derivatives, forecasting, risk management, and advanced analytics/AI.
- Tertiary qualification in finance, economics, engineering, or a quantitative field.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
