- Deliver E&I; design across APA’s gas transmission assets, including pipelines, compressor stations, meter and regulator stations, and associated facilities
- Work within a multidisciplinary team on projects from concept and detailed design through construction support
- Produce electrical design deliverables, including single-line diagrams, cable sizing and schedules, load lists, earthing and lightning protection, and equipment specifications
- Develop instrumentation and control deliverables, including instrument datasheets and indices, P&ID; mark-ups, loop and wiring diagrams, and cause & effect matrices
- Carry out hazardous area classification and Ex equipment selection to the AS/NZS IEC 60079 series
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications and material take-offs
- Support review and squad checking of design outputs
- Contribute to design reviews, HAZOP/LOPA and safety-in-design workshops and incorporate outcomes into deliverables
- Liaise with drafters, other disciplines, vendors and site personnel to resolve design queries and ensure constructible, compliant outcomes

Requirements

- Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation or a closely related engineering discipline
- Extensive experience in E&I; design, ideally within oil & gas, energy,



utilities or heavy industrial sectors
- Sound working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008 and the AS/NZS IEC 60079 hazardous areas series
- Ability to produce and check E&I; design deliverables with limited supervision
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Experience with gas transmission or pipeline facilities, including compressor and meter/regulator stations, desirable
- Familiarity with AS 2885, desirable
- Exposure to functional safety (IEC 61508 / 61511) and SIL assessment, desirable
- Chartered status (CPEng) and NER registration
- RPEQ registration, or eligibility to obtain it, required to deliver skilled engineering work in Queensland
- Strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Successful completion of background vetting, including Police checks, before and during employment
