We pride ourselves on maintaining a modern fleet, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring goods are transported safely and on schedule. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our growing team. Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Vehicle Operation: Drive a truck to transport goods to assigned locations, adhering to traffic laws and company guidelines.
- Load Management: Oversee the loading and unloading of cargo, utilizing appropriate equipment and methods to ensure safe handling and placement.
- Safety Compliance: Follow established safety procedures during loading, driving, and unloading to ensure the protection of cargo and vehicle integrity.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular vehicle inspections and perform minor repairs as needed to maintain the truck in optimal working condition.
- Weight Distribution: Manage and assess load weights to comply with legal weight limits and ensure balanced distribution for safe vehicle operation.
- Cargo Security:
Secure all cargo properly and cover it as necessary to prevent damage or loss during transit.
- Documentation: Verify loading documents, inspect the condition of goods, and obtain delivery confirmations and necessary signatures.
- Communication: Provide regular updates to dispatch and management regarding delivery status, any issues, or delays encountered.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a qualified manner during deliveries, addressing any questions or special requests.
- Adhering to delivery schedules and adjusting routes based on traffic or weather conditions.
- Reporting accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues to management immediately.
- Participating in training programs to stay updated on industry practices and regulatory changes.
- Assisting with administrative and logistical tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant roles.
Other Skills and Requirements:
- Valid heavy vehicle license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a truck driver with a strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in operating various types of trucks and lifting equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina for long periods of driving and handling heavy loads.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
