Position: Inclusion Professional
Status: Part Time – 15 hours per week, flexible days
Hourly rate: $48.70 - $51.16 per hour (inclusive of all allowances/loadings), plus super
Qualification: Diploma in early childhood/ACECQA approved equivalent or above
Location: Broome, Western Australia 6725

Role overview
- Assist education and care services in the development of Strategic Inclusion Plans, facilitating access to specialist equipment and Inclusion Support Subsidy
- Support mainstream early education and care services (EECs) to improve their capacity and capability to provide quality inclusive practices, address participation barriers and include children with additional needs alongside their typically developing peers
- Provide parents and carers of children with additional needs with access to appropriate EEC services that assist those parents to participate in the workforce
Qualifications/Requirements
- Eligible to work in Australia
- Live in or willing to move to Broome, WA
- Diploma in early childhood/ACECQA approved equivalent or above
- Current WA Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance (within last 6 months)
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence
Selection criteria
- Demonstrate high level oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve team goals
- Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD), and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Understanding of child development, Positive Behaviour Support approach, and trauma informed practice
- Proven history of developing and maintaining productive working relationships with key external stake holders and referrers
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Experience working within the ECEC sector, with children with disability, additional needs or disruptive behaviours
- Sound IT skills including use of database and data reporting programs
