About NACCHO

The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) is the national peak body representing 148 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs). ACCHOs deliver comprehensive primary health care to more than half of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples nationally.

About the Role

The Senior Project Officer (Program Governance) plays a key role in supporting the governance, assurance and continuous improvement of NACCHO’s national Elder Care Support (ECS) program. Working as part of a collaborative aged care team, the position provides oversight of grant administration, reporting, risk management, compliance and program performance monitoring. The role also supports governance committees and advisory groups, develops practical governance tools and procedures, and contributes to strategic advice on aged care reform and sector priorities. Through solid stakeholder engagement and quality assurance processes, the role helps ensure effective, accountable and culturally informed program delivery across the ACCHO/ACCO sector.

Responsibilities of this role but not limited to:

- Lead and support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of program governance frameworks, procedures, templates and tools for the Elder Care Support program.
- Provide oversight, guidance and quality assurance for grant management administration, including reporting, records management, financial acquittals and compliance with funding requirements.
- Coordinate program assurance activities, including monitoring progress against deliverables, identifying risks and issues,



and escalating matters for decision or action as required.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

- A valid WWVP clearance and National Police check or ability to obtain.
- Tertiary qualifications in health, public policy, business, governance or a related field are highly desirable.
- Experience in project management, governance, risk management, contract management or grants administration are advantageous.
- Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, aged care reform, community-controlled organisations or government-funded programs is highly regarded.
- Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing briefs, reports, governance papers and advice for senior stakeholders.
