The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity for a Veterinary Nurse Manager to join our Gold Coast Community Vet Clinic full-time. If you’re passionate about animal care and have the leadership skills to guide a team, this is your opportunity to make a real difference. As a valued and experienced Nurse Manager, you will use your positive energy, extensive team leadership experience, and development skills to manage the daily Veterinary operations, supporting your team in treating animals in our care.

Key Responsibilities

Team leadership: Provide guidance and support to the team so they love and thrive in their rolesPolicies and procedures: Assist with the implementation and compliance of new and existing policies and proceduresConsult Support: Support veterinarians with routine health examinations and medical casesNursing Support: Assist in radiography, surgical procedures, monitor patient anesthesia and post-operative procedures. In-house and external pathology procedures. Prepare medications as requiredInpatient Care: Nurse hospitalised animals, monitor clinical signs and communicate with the teamOrganisation Pro: Prepare and implement surgery and consult schedulesPatient files: Data entry of health,



treatment and patient informationProcesses: Compliance with AWLQ policy and procedure, in addition to compliance with state and federal legislationRecruitment, training and mentorship: Assist with recruitment, providing training and development of the nursing team

Essential Qualifications And Experience

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or recognised equivalent5+ years' vet nursing experienceExperience as a nurse manager or in a leadership positionExcellent animal care and handling skillsExperience in a busy, fast-paced work environmentGood computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite
