DEPUTY PRINCIPAL, Community & Student Wellbeing

Marist College Bendigo is a Victorian co-educational Foundation to Year 12 college, governed by Marist Schools Australia Limited, serving just over 1,200 students. Located in the vibrant regional city of Bendigo, just 90 minutes from Melbourne, the College benefits from a community renowned for its rich arts and culture, thriving epicurean scene and exceptional quality of life. As the newest Marist school in Australia, Marist College Bendigo opened its doors in 2015 and has since experienced significant growth and development. This growth has been reflected across all aspects of College life, including enrolments, family engagement, contemporary learning environments, and campus infrastructure.

The College is seeking an outstanding Catholic educator and accomplished executive leader with a demonstrated passion for community engagement and student wellbeing.



This significant senior leadership position reflects the College’s commitment to fostering solid partnerships with families and the broader community, while ensuring student wellbeing remains central to learning and achievement. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing a thriving, inclusive, and faith-filled learning community where every student is supported to flourish.

Essential Requirements

The following are essential requirements for Deputy Principals of a Marist school:

· Membership of a Catholic Eucharistic community

· Background in theology, preferably at the post-graduate level

· Masters level education qualifications

· Proven leadership skills exercised at a senior level in Catholic education

· Sound knowledge of child safety standards in the school’s jurisdiction

The successful candidate will commence in January 2027.
