We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Support Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. Application requirements include character limited responses to address only 2 Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) domains at application stage. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed as part of the further assessment stage, for shortlisted applicants only.

Mount Hawthorn Education Support Centre (Planning Name) will open at Wembley in 2027 with a clear commitment to high expectations, consistency and excellence in teaching and learning from the outset. The Role
Suitable applicants would assist in the provision of specialised education support programs and classes, tailored to the needs of small groups of students. Suitable applicants would be encouraged to implement whole school pedagogical practices and behaviour curriculum. This would enhance differentiated teaching in structured learning environments in which the required instructional, curriculum and environmental adjustments support all students to achieve to their potential.
Suitable applicants will ideally be motivated, compassionate, flexible, highly organised, and possess a deep knowledge of pedagogy specific to students with disability. Highly developed classroom management skills are regarded,
so is the ability to create the secure and caring environments needed for optimal learning to take place. Suitable applicants should have proficiency in the use of assessment to identify ability, interests, progress, and areas for development as well as the ability to develop plans / programs aligned with identified individualised student outcomes. Suitable applicants should possess outstanding communication skills and demonstrate leadership within the classroom and wider community.
