Your role at Medicare Mental Health Centre - North
We are seeking applications for a Clinical Psychologist (Grade 3) to join our Medicare Mental Health Service on a permanent full-time basis, in Midland, WA.
Our team provides a safe and welcoming spaces for locals to walk in and access free mental health support and services - no referral, Medicare card or appointment needed. Staffed by qualified mental health professionals and people with lived experience, the centres provide immediate support to adults in distress, including their families, friends and carers. We can also connect people with other support services, such as employment assistance, to support them in the future.
You will be responsible for the development and delivery of innovative programs that provide high-level clinical care to consumers in groups, and an individual basis across a variety of acute and psychiatric specialties.
The Position
- Provides advanced level Psychology services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
- Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring consumer progress adjusting treatment accordingly for complex management.
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary team to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.
- Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to consumers, visitors and caregivers, inclusive of maintaining confidentiality.
- Maintains appropriate clinical records reflecting adherence to service policies, ACHS and legal requirements.
- Contributes to the design and implementation of programs relevant to the needs of consumers and current clinical practice.
We are seeking a highly experienced clinician who brings in-depth knowledge and senior-level expertise in contemporary psychotherapeutic techniques, including delivering both group programs and individual therapy using modalities such as CBT, DBT, Schema Therapy and/or ACT.
You will have demonstrated experience applying evidence-based, best practice interventions across both short-term and longer-term treatment frameworks, alongside a solid understanding of clinical research and evidence-based methodologies.
Successful applicants must hold a tertiary qualification in Psychology with Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology board of Australia (AHPRA).

We can offer:
- Salary Grade 2 to 3: $130,914 to $151,335 plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent full time | 38 hours per week
