About the role

Turn your industry experience into meaningful learning outcomes with SGS Academy. We are seeking a confident and engaging Trainer and Assessor to join our team across Newcastle and Mount Thorley, supporting learners at SGS facilities and client sites throughout the Hunter, Upper Hunter and Central Coast.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver engaging accredited and non-accredited training in classroom, virtual and on-site environments

- Prepare sessions, assess competency and provide practical learner support

- Maintain accurate training and assessment records in line with RTO requirements

- Contribute to resource development, validation, audits and continuous improvement

- Share your subject matter expertise while promoting secure, inclusive and professional learning

About you

- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment,



or an equivalent qualification

- Relevant vocational qualifications, licences and current industry competency for the courses you deliver

- Experience delivering VET programs and competency-based assessment

- Strong communication, organisation and digital literacy skills

- A current driver's licence and flexibility to travel between SGS locations and client sites, including occasional overnight stays
