Park Management Couple – Broome Caravan Park

Summerstar Tourist Parks is seeking an enthusiastic and capable couple to join our team as Park Managers at Broome Caravan Park.
This is an excellent opportunity for a positive, hands-on management team who enjoy working with people, solving problems and taking pride in the presentation and operation of a tourist park.
Ideally, one person will bring strong reception, administration and office-management skills, while the other will have experience and confidence in groundskeeping, maintenance and general handyman tasks. Both Park Managers will work together to oversee the park and will be expected to assist across all areas of the operation when required.

About the roles
As Park Managers, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day operation of Broome Caravan Park.
These are genuinely hands-on roles. You will personally undertake the full range of park duties while leading and working alongside seasonal Assistant Managers and a team of excellent casual staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
Park operations and management
* Managing the park’s day-to-day operations
* Organising workloads, priorities and team activities
* Responding to operational issues as they arise
* Providing practical and proactive solutions
* Managing after-hours responsibilities as required
* Supporting the park’s environmental, safety and security programs
* Assisting guests, tenants, contractors and corporate clients
* Supporting maintenance projects and capital works
* Leading by example and contributing wherever assistance is needed
Reception and administration
* Providing friendly and professional service to guests by telephone and in person
* Managing guest check-ins and check-outs
* Accurately entering and maintaining reservations
* Processing deposits and payments
* Preparing booking confirmations and guest correspondence
* Responding to guest enquiries and resolving concerns
* Completing general administrative and office-management duties
* Using RMS or a similar reservation and property-management system
Grounds and maintenance
* Maintaining lawns, gardens and landscaped areas
* Cleaning & maintaining the swimming pool
* Undertaking general maintenance and handyman duties
* Maintaining park buildings, facilities and infrastructure
* Painting and completing minor repairs
* Preparing rooms, cabins and sites for guests
* Managing bins, waste areas and general park presentation
* Identifying maintenance requirements and coordinating repairs where necessary
Housekeeping and guest accommodation
* Cleaning rooms, ensuites, amenities and shared facilities
* Servicing rooms during guest stays
* Completing laundry duties and folding linen
* Assisting the housekeeping team during busy periods or when operationally required
About you
We are looking for a couple who can demonstrate:
* Outstanding customer service and communication skills
* Previous management, supervisory or tourism and hospitality experience
* Strong office and administrative capability within the couple
* Competent maintenance, handyman and groundskeeping skills within the couple
* Sound judgement and practical problem-solving ability
* An understanding of basic business and operational principles
* Computer literacy, with RMS or similar system experience strongly preferred
* The ability to organise work, manage competing priorities and lead a team
* Physical fitness and the capacity to undertake hands-on park duties
* A positive, flexible and cooperative approach
* A willingness to learn, follow established procedures and take direction
* Pride in maintaining high standards of guest service, cleanliness and park presentation
The successful applicants must hold, or be able to obtain before their agreed commencement date:
* A satisfactory National Police Clearance
* A current First Aid Certificate
* A current driver’s licence for the person undertaking the primary grounds and maintenance responsibilities
