Umbrella Multicultural Community Care Services Inc. provides services to seniors to assist them to remain living independently in their own homes. Our services focus on the individual needs of culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) and LGBTIQA+ communities.

An opportunity has become available to join our growing organisation. We are currently seeking a part-time Home Support Worker to support clients in the Jandakot, Hammond Park, and surrounding areas.

We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who speak Russian, as these language skills are highly valued in supporting the needs of our clients. We also welcome applications from candidates who speak other community languages.

Language skills highly regarded:

- Russian (highly desirable)
- Italian
- Polish
- Serbian/Macedonian
- Spanish
- Vietnamese

$36.23 per hour (part-time rate)

Plus salary packaging benefits of up to $15,990 per year, reducing taxable income

About the Role

This position is responsible for the delivery of support services to Umbrella clients. Duties may include:

- Domestic assistance
- Personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, medication assistance)
- Social support (one-on-one)
- Respite care
- Transport for individual clients
- Reporting observed changes in client health or wellbeing

To be considered, you must have:

- Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support




- Certificate in Assist with Medication
- Experience providing personal care services
- Food Safety Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance (issued within the past 6 months)
- Valid First Aid Certificates (HLTAID011 & HLTAID009)
- Current valid WA Driver’s Licence
- A reliable, registered vehicle
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- A smartphone capable of running the Sandwai app
