Perth College is seeking an experienced Home Economics Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. The successful applicant will have a passion for empowering students through engaging and innovative teaching, inspiring them to develop confidence, independence and lifelong skills.

This is a temporary full-time position for Terms 1, 2 and 3 of the 2027 School Year, providing parental leave cover.

The role involves teaching Home Economics across Years 7–12, including Food Science & Technology and Textiles. You will deliver high-quality learning experiences, support students to achieve their potential, and contribute to a positive and collaborative learning environment.

Experience teaching Senior School Food Science & Technology is highly desirable.

You will bring excellent classroom management and communication skills, demonstrate contemporary pedagogical practices, and be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

You have:

- A recognised tertiary teaching qualification, or equivalent qualification that meets the requirements for teacher registration in Western Australia.

- Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia

- Current Working with Children Check

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to share expertise, resources and best practice





- A commitment to fostering academic excellence and supporting the diverse learning needs of students
