Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide support in a diverse role within a professional but friendly environment. This is a full-time position based in our Adelaide Office.

The position will include but not be limited to:

- Provide technical leadership on EMtek projects, delivering high-quality mechanical engineering solutions that meet client and project requirements.

- Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and completed engineering deliverables.

- Execute mechanical engineering across materials handling, conveyors, transfer chutes, DEM modelling, equipment selection, piping and slurry systems.

- Prepare, review and approve engineering calculations, technical documentation and designs, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, company procedures and project requirements.

- Mentor and support mechanical engineers while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.

- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships,



contributing technical input to proposals, tenders and project delivery.

- Monitor project budgets, schedules and quality, and manage smaller projects where required.

- Drive continuous improvement of engineering systems and processes while maintaining a strong focus on safety through risk assessments, HAZOPs and Safety in Design (SiD) reviews.

Skills and Experience

- Minimum 7 years’ experience in mechanical engineering within the mining and resources sector

- Strong background in bulk materials handling, including conveyor design, transfer chute design, and slurry and piping systems

- Practical experience in construction, commissioning and/or operations in the bulk materials or minerals processing industries

- Experience across varied commodity types (e.g. iron ore, nickel, gold, copper, coal)

- Ability to work across multiple disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process
