Perth College is seeking an experienced Home Economics Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. The successful applicant will have a passion for empowering students through innovative and engaging teaching, inspiring them to develop confidence, independence and lifelong skills.

This is a temporary part-time position, working across a five-day timetable, commencing in Week 4 of Term 4 (2 November 2026) for the remainder of the 2026 School Year to cover parental leave.

There is also an opportunity to continue in the role on a full-time basis for Terms 1 to 3, 2027.

The role involves teaching Home Economics across Years 7–12, including Food Science & Technology and Textiles. The successful applicant will deliver high-quality learning experiences, support students to achieve their potential, and contribute to a positive and collaborative learning setting. Experience teaching Senior School Food Science and Technology is highly desirable.

You will bring excellent classroom management and communication skills, demonstrate contemporary pedagogical practices, and be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

You have:

- A recognised tertiary teaching qualification, or equivalent qualification that meets the requirements for teacher registration in Western Australia.

- Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia





- Current Working with Children Check

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to share expertise, resources and best practice

- A commitment to fostering academic excellence and supporting the diverse learning needs of students
