Join Capecare Busselton and Dunsborough as a Full-time Float Shift Nurse working AM shifts ( Minimum 76 hours per fortnight guaranteed).

About the Role

The Float Registered Nurse provides flexible clinical support across both Busselton and Dunsborough facilities. This role ensures safe, person-centred, and high-quality clinical care by stepping into various shifts where clinical support is required due to planned leave, unplanned leave or operational needs.
The Registered Nurse Float Shift coordinates and delivers care within a multidisciplinary team environment while supporting staff development and ensuring compliance with aged care standards, organisational policies, and regulatory frameworks.

Reporting to the Facility Managers, you'll help maintain clinical standards and person-centred care, with a key focus on covering annual and unplanned leave across both facilities.

This full-time role is an additional resource, covering all planned and unplanned leave for our 7-3 pm shifts across both Busselton and Dunsborough facilities and offers a lucrative hourly rate for the required flexibility.
If/when you are not covering leave, you’ll support with additional nursing duties, projects, and general operations.

Candidates must be available and able to cover all AM shifts, Monday to Sunday, across both facilities (maximum 5 shifts/38 hours per week).

Rosters are provided a minimum of 2 weeks in advance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including mornings, weekends, and public holidays.





- Proven ability to adapt quickly to new teams and changing environments.

- Well-developed time management and organisational skills.

- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently

- Ability to show initiative, discretion and judgement in carrying out assigned duties.

- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to be flexible, adaptable and innovative.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment and act as a positive role model with honesty and integrity at all times, presenting a ‘can do’ attitude.

- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficient computer ability.

- Strong empathy towards the elderly.

About You

You’re a dynamic and adaptable Registered Nurse with a strong sense of initiative and a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Agile and independent, you excel in fast-paced environments and bring sound clinical judgment to every situation.

You are comfortable working in new environments, as these environments are where you thrive. To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

- A minimum of 4 years’ clinical RN experience, including at least 2 years in Aged Care.

- Experience as an Agency Registered Nurse is highly preferred.

- Flexibility & availability to cover a Monday to Sunday roster including weekends and public holidays, across both Busselton and Dunsborough facilities is essential.

- Confidence in working independently and integrating into new teams.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience using electronic care systems (e.g. AutumnCare,



iCare, LeeCare)
