The role:

We are lucky enough to be expanding and are looking for an experienced Estimator with a civil construction background to join the PCA team.

Reporting to the Civil Construction Manager, you'll be at the heart of the action, shaping accurate, competitive estimates across a diverse range of civil construction projects. You'll team up closely with our estimating and delivery crews, playing a genuine hand in turning tenders into wins, from that first look at the documents right through to submission.

This position is an in-office role based at our Arundel head office with standard business hour coverage

Some general responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead end-to-end preparation of civil tenders up to $20m, from initial review through to final submission





- Deliver accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates using Bluebeam and Expert Pronamics

- Undertake thorough review of drawings, geotechnical reports, specifications and tender documentation

- Develop robust construction methodologies while identifying key project risks and opportunities

- Source, assess and manage subcontractor and supplier pricing to strengthen tender competitiveness

- Prepare accurate BOQs, rate schedules and comprehensive tender submissions

- Contribute meaningfully to tender reviews and clarification processes

Standout applicants will need to possess the following:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction estimating, tendering, pre-contracts or a related role.

- Strong experience estimating civil works including earthworks, roads, drainage, trenching and structures.

- Experience preparing estimates for, Construct Only or Lump Sum projects.

- Strong ability to interpret technical documentation including drawings, geotechnical reports, surveys and specifications.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors

- Moderate to strong Microsoft suite skills

Knowledge of the following would be advantageous:





- Knowledge of Expert Estimation (Pronamics).

- Familiarity with TMR

- Experience with 12d, Civil 3D, or similar software for volume and quantity take-off.
