About the role

A Food and Beverage Attendant will serve food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring a hygienic setting, helping guests to have a memorable experience whenever they dine.

Key responsibilities

- Create a warm welcome to everyone and set the tone for each guest's experience

- Prepare food and beverages for service to guests and present food according to established health and presentation standards

- Look after the bar – keep it clean and tidy and make sure alcohol is always secure

- Handle cash and credit transactions

- Wear uniform with pride

- Be ready to jump into other ad-hoc duties when colleagues need help

- Always follow safety procedures

- Monitor guest behaviour and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of guests; check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable

- Explicit and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Clean and/or wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary





- Take action to solve guest problems/complaints and use established guidelines for any service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction; notify team leader on shift of any experienced issues

- Receive guest payments and process transactions as outlined in cash and charge procedures

About you

- Excellent RSA serves skills

- Fitness – you'll be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling

- Strength – sometimes you'll need to lift, push or pull big objects like barrels and crates up to 23 kg

- Literate – you'll need a good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths

- Flexible – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job

- Experienced – you'll know how to prepare a wide range of drinks. Ideally with formal bartending training

- Compliant – as well as meeting local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, you'll be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language

- Articulate – a great communicator, you'll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
