About Our School

Good Samaritan Catholic College, located in Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast, is a Prep to Year 12 institution that opened in 2019. The College has steadily grown and now accommodates approximately 1500 students. The first cohort of seniors graduated in 2024.

Summary

Play a key role in the Good Samaritan Catholic College community, supporting students, families and staff by coordinating well‑organised care and first aid processes, medication coordination, incident reporting, and effective administrative support.

About The Opportunity





In this position you will be responsible for:

Providing first aid and basic healthcare support to students and staff as requiredProviding day-to-day student health support, including the safe administration of prescribed medication and the provision of first aid in a school setting in accordance with medical authorisations, parent/carer instructions, and school procedures. Maintaining, updating and monitoring student medical management plans and individual health plans, first aid and incident records ensuring information is accurate, current and confidential. Safe storage, handling and recording medications in compliance with BCE policies, health regulations and school requirements. Using school ICT systems and databases to process, maintain and retrieve confidential student health records, registers and correspondence. Preparing and organise student medical information and medication requirements for camps, excursions and school events in line with risk management procedures.

About You

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

Current First Aid and CPR qualificationExperience in a healthcare setting - eg. nursing, first aid or student wellbeingHaving provided a wide variety of administrative and operational supportCoordinating tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery Advising on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvementsUnderstanding of compliance within a school and delivering on relevant legislation, policy and proceduresLed and supported administrative staff, ensuring their smooth onboarding and providing effective training for optimal performanceFor this position you are not required to be Catholic
