The Role

We're seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join the Service and Construction division in Cairns.

Working alongside an experienced team of electricians, supervisors and apprentices, you'll undertake a variety of industrial electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding work.

The role offers plenty of variety and is well suited to an electrician who enjoys industrial work, solving problems and working directly with clients. For candidates looking to take the next step in their career, there is also the opportunity to develop into Leading Hand and Supervisor responsibilities over time.

Key responsibilities:

- Effectively plan and execute assigned work in accordance with client and project requirements.

- Work collaboratively with supervisors, electricians, apprentices and other trades to achieve project milestones and deadlines.

- Maintain a strong focus on quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

- Interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings and equipment documentation.

- Accurately complete required job documentation, test sheets and electrical test records.

- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and fault-finding methodologies.

- Undertake electrical installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning activities across a range of industrial environments.

- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, legislation, client requirements and company safety procedures.

On Offer

- Attractive hourly rate:



$46 - $56 per hour + super + penalties, depending on experience and qualifications.

- $2,500 sign-on bonus ($1,000 in first week, $1,500 after 6 months)

Required Qualifications:

- Current Unrestricted Electrical Licence

- Current “C” class driver’s licence

- White Card (construction site card)

- LVR & CPR Qualification

- Experience in working in the Industrial Electrical Industry

- Basic computer skills in Word and Outlook

- Must have Australian Permanent Residency

Desirable:

- Leading Hand experience

- Working at Heights certification

- High-Risk Licence – EWP

- Intermediate computer skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office package

- Hazardous Area Installation experience and qualifications
