Lavandula Farm

Bendigo

Lavandula Farm is an iconic historical property near Daylesford, featuring 200-year-old Swiss Italian–built buildings and more than 100 acres of European-style gardens.

As a thriving tourism destination open 7 days a week, Lavandula encompasses hospitality, retail, weddings, events, and seasonal festivals.

With a busy wedding and events season ahead, we’re looking for an experienced, energetic and hands-on Venue and Events Manager to join our management team.

You’ll be on the floor, working alongside our two other Venue Managers to lead our hospitality team, deliver weddings and events, support daily restaurant operations and help launch and operate our new stand alone pizza outlet.

We’re looking for someone with high-volume hospitality and high-end events experience.

The Role

This is a full time position, working Thursday to Monday, with a salary of $80,000 per annum. As our busiest periods are weekends, Saturday and Sunday availability is essential and forms part of the regular working week.

Strong food and beverage experience is essential, ideally within a high-volume restaurant, venue or events environment. Experience using Square POS is essential, with SevenRooms experience highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate and deliver weddings, private functions, events and seasonal activations

- Support wedding and event preparation, including run sheets, floor plans, staffing, supplier coordination, set-up and pack-down

- Act as a key operational contact during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly from guest arrival through to completion

- Lead front-of-house teams during busy services and events

- Train and develop staff to create a confident, knowledgeable and consistent hospitality team

- Support the daily operation of Maria's Trattoria, particularly across busy weekends and peak tourism periods

- Assist with rostering, staff allocation and planning for upcoming services and events

- Coordinate closely with our kitchen team to ensure smooth communication between BOH and FOH

- Maintain high standards across service, presentation, cleanliness and venue readiness

- Troubleshoot issues quickly and confidently during service

What Success Looks Like

For us, success in this role isn't simply getting through a busy service.

You'll be someone who can walk into a venue, understand what needs to happen and get the team moving in the right direction.

You'll build strong relationships with staff, train people well and set clear expectations. You'll be able to confidently lead a busy Saturday service, oversee a wedding, communicate with the kitchen, solve problems as they arise and keep both the team and our guests feeling looked after.

As we enter a busy wedding and events season, we're looking for someone who brings experience, energy and a genuinely positive attitude to the team.
