PATH 1 — FIBRE TECHNICIAN

Like technology, problem-solving and detailed work?

Learn the specialist skills used to connect, test and repair Australia's fibre networks.

You'll learn:

- Fibre splicing and termination

- Fibre testing and fault finding

- Network testing and diagnostics

- Fibre hauling and installation

- NBN and major infrastructure networks

Career potential: Fibre Technician → Fibre Splicer → Tester → Crew Leader → Supervisor

PATH 2 — CIVIL TELECOMMUNICATIONS

Prefer being outdoors, working with your hands and building things?

Learn to construct the underground infrastructure that telecommunications networks rely on.

You'll learn:

- Pit and pipe construction

- Conduit and underground cable installation

- Excavation and civil works

- Fibre hauling

- Network construction and maintenance

- Working with plant and equipment

Career potential: Civil Technician → Plant Operator → Crew Leader → Supervisor

WHY TELECOMMUNICATIONS?

Because skilled telecommunications workers are in demand.

This is an opportunity to complete your Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology in approximately TWO YEARS – while working full-time and getting paid.

By the time you finish, you could have:

PLUS – UP TO $8,000 IN GOVERNMENT INCENTIVES*

Eligible trainees may be able to access up to $8,000 in Australian Government incentives while completing their traineeship.

If you're reliable, willing to learn, enjoy hands-on work and aren't afraid of putting in a good day's work, we can teach you the rest.

You'll also need a Driver's Licence and White Card or be willing to obtain.
