Pimpala Primary School OSHC Director Position

Pimpala Primary School OSHC is a vibrant and community-focused service dedicated to providing high-quality before and after school care, as well as vacation care, for children. Operating from 6:30am to 6:30pm, we are committed to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. Our service is licensed for 78 children, ensuring personalised attention and care.

About the Role

As the OSHC Director, you will lead a passionate team in delivering high-quality, engaging programs for school-aged children. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing recreational activities, mentoring staff, managing administration and budgets, and ensuring compliance with National Quality Standards. You will work closely with families and stakeholders to create a nurturing environment.

Role Type & Hours:

This is a full-time position, (negotiable) with a standard operating week from Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 6:30pm. The position includes non-contact hours for planning and administration duties. There may be some split shifts, depending on the needs of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement engaging programs for children.

- Mentor and support OSHC staff.

- Manage administration, budgets, and compliance.

- Foster relationships with families and stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For:

- Experience managing OSHC/Vacation Care or similar programs.

- Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent communication and administration abilities.

- Proven experience in administration, marketing, and financial management.

- Advanced computer literacy.

- Sound knowledge of policies, WHS, and Child Protection obligations.

Qualifications and Training:





- Approved qualification for working with children over preschool age in South Australia (as per ACECQA).

- Recognised qualification in management/administration is desirable.

- First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012).

- Working with Children Check (WWCC).

- RRHAN-EC fundamentals and masterclass training certifications.

- Protective Practices Certificate.

- Current Australian work rights are required for this position.

- Geccko - mandatory national child safety training

OSHC Operating Hours:

Monday to Friday | 6:30am - 6:30pm

Remuneration:

We offer a competitive salary at Level 8, with the potential for above award rates. Your experience and expertise matter — and we're open to considering higher rates to ensure you're fairly rewarded for your valuable contributions.
