Job Overview
At Komatsu, we don't just rebuild equipment — we help keep some of Australia's most critical underground mining operations moving.
We're looking for an experienced Rebuilds Project Manager to join our Mining Products team, leading complex rebuild, repair and equipment projects from initial planning through to final delivery.
In this highly visible customer-facing role, you'll work closely with customers, engineering, operations, supply chain and production teams to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes while ensuring commercial, schedule and performance objectives are achieved.
What Makes This Role Unique?
You'll be at the centre of major underground mining equipment projects, coordinating stakeholders across the business and acting as the key link between customers and delivery teams.
You'll:
Lead complex rebuild and repair projects from pre-contract through to deliveryWork directly with customers to manage expectations, risks and project outcomesCoordinate activity across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production and SalesPlay a critical role in delivering safe, efficient and commercially successful projectsInfluence decision-making and drive continuous improvement across project delivery
Key Job Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Manage end-to-end project delivery across rebuilds, repairs and selected OEM projectsDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts and resource plansMonitor project scope, costs,
risks and delivery milestonesCoordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achievedLead customer communications and provide regular project updatesIdentify and mitigate project risks, issues and delivery challengesDrive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project outcomes and customer satisfactionEnsure compliance with safety, quality and operational standards throughout the project lifecycle
About You
You are a proactive and commercially minded Project Manager who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where no two projects are the same.
You may come from a background in:
MiningHeavy industryManufacturingEquipment rebuilds and maintenanceOEM environmentsEngineering project delivery
You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy solving problems, building strong stakeholder relationships and coordinating multiple moving parts to deliver successful outcomes
Qualifications/Requirements
To Be Successful, You'll Bring
Proven experience delivering projects within manufacturing, mining, engineering or heavy industry environmentsStrong customer and stakeholder management skillsExperience managing project scope, schedule, budget and riskThe ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive accountabilityWorking knowledge of project management systems and ERP platforms such as SAPProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft ProjectExperience with major equipment rebuilds,
maintenance or OEM environments will be highly regardedExposure to underground mining equipment or Joy product knowledge is advantageous
