Restaurant Manager – EMBR Hospitality

EMBR Hospitality | Full Time

EMBR Hospitality is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join one of our venue teams and help deliver consistently high standards of service and hospitality.

This is a hands-on, operational role for someone who loves being on the floor, enjoys working alongside the team and understands how great communication between front of house and kitchen creates an exceptional guest experience.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will work closely with the entire venue team to coordinate day-to-day service, support front of house and ensure each service runs smoothly from start to finish.

About EMBR Hospitality

EMBR Hospitality is a South Australian hospitality group focused on creating great venues, memorable guest experiences and strong teams.

We believe the best restaurants are built through collaboration — with front of house, kitchen and management working together towards the same goal.

We are committed to developing our people and creating an environment where teams feel supported, challenged and proud of the hospitality they deliver.

About the Role

This is a full-time, hands-on restaurant management position with a roster that includes evenings and weekends.

As Restaurant Manager, you’ll spend the majority of your time where it matters — on the floor, working alongside the team and supporting service.

You’ll work closely with the Venue Manager, chefs and front-of-house team to make sure everyone is prepared and aligned for each service.

During service, you’ll help coordinate the floor, communicate with the kitchen, support the team, engage with guests and respond to the changing needs of the restaurant.

Outside of service, you’ll assist with the practical day-to-day requirements of running the venue, including team training, opening and closing procedures, stock,

beverage and general restaurant operations.

This role is about being part of the team, staying connected to what is happening on the floor and helping create consistently smooth and enjoyable services.

Key Responsibilities

- Running and coordinating the restaurant floor during service

- Working closely with the Venue Manager, chefs and FOH team to deliver smooth and consistent services

- Supporting the front-of-house team throughout service

- Maintaining high standards of hospitality, presentation and guest experience

- Ensuring clear communication between front of house and kitchen

- Conducting pre-service briefings and ensuring the team is prepared for service

- Training and supporting front-of-house team members

- Helping create a positive, qualified and team-focused working environment

- Assisting with opening and closing procedures

- Supporting day-to-day rostering and team requirements

- Supporting beverage stock control, ordering and inventory

- Maintaining strong wine and beverage service standards

- Managing guest feedback and resolving issues professionally

- Building relationships with regular guests and creating a welcoming restaurant environment

- Supporting the Venue Manager with the day-to-day operational requirements of the venue

- Working with the wider venue team to continually improve service and the guest experience

About You

We’re looking for an experienced restaurant professional who genuinely enjoys being on the floor and being part of service.

You’re someone who is happy to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team. You’re confident running a busy floor, comfortable communicating with the kitchen and able to keep service moving when things get busy.

You understand that great restaurant management isn’t about standing on the sidelines — it’s about being present, supporting the team and helping create an environment where everyone can do their best work.

You will ideally have:

- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a restaurant management or senior supervisory role

- Strong experience in busy, quality-driven restaurant environments

- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience

- Strong wine and beverage knowledge

- Excellent floor management and restaurant service skills

- The ability to train, support and develop front-of-house team members

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across FOH and BOH

- A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach during busy services

- A collaborative, hands-on and team-first approach

- RSA and RP certificates

- Availability to work evenings and weekends

What We Offer

- Competitive salary based on experience

- A hands-on role within an experienced and supportive venue team

- The support of a Venue Manager and the broader EMBR Hospitality team

- Opportunities for career progression across EMBR Hospitality

- Ongoing wine, service and hospitality development

- The opportunity to work with a passionate and engaged restaurant team

- The chance to be part of the continued growth of EMBR Hospitality
