Clip Joint Education is looking for a Salon Receptionist / Coordinator to join our team and become the welcoming face of our student salon.

Our Academy is a busy, fast-paced environment where hairdressing and barbering students learn and develop their skills in our on-site training salon.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, students, educators, employers and visitors, helping keep the salon running smoothly and efficiently.

This role is perfect for someone who loves people, loves an ever-changing day and knows how to get things done.

You’ll need to be comfortable in a busy environment, confident making decisions, able to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure.

Duties Include:

- Welcoming clients and providing exceptional front-of-house service

- Managing appointments and the booking system using Shortcuts

- Coordinating client bookings and ensuring a smooth workflow for students

- Liaising with students, educators, clients and industry employers

- Keeping the salon running efficiently throughout the day

- Managing stock ordering and inventory

- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional salon environment

- Handling questions, concerns and challenging situations with confidence

- Supporting the wider administration team when required

- Multitasking and problem solving

The role:

- Full-time / Part-time position negotiable

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for someone who has personality, presence and professionalism.

You might be a salon receptionist, coordinator, senior stylist looking for a change,



customer service professional or someone with strong administration experience who simply loves working with people and thrives in a busy environment.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who:

- Is friendly and genuinely enjoys connecting with people

- Is confident, with excellent communication skills

- Able to deal with conflict and resolution

- Can multitask and confidently manage competing priorities

- Is highly organised and has excellent attention to detail

- Works well as part of a team and contributes to a positive workplace culture

Experience & skills:

- Current Working with Children’s Check and Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect or willing to obtain

- Previous experience in salon coordination/reception, customer service, administration or a similar client-facing role

- Experience within the hair, beauty or education industry – preferred but not essential

- Certificate III in Hairdressing is highly regarded

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Experience with online booking systems such as Shortcuts an advantage

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel

- Strong organisational and time-management skills
