About the role

We are seeking a Fleet Hire Assistant to join our dynamic team at our Pinelands, NT facility. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our fleet hire operations. As a Fleet Hire Assistant, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining excellent customer service standards and supporting the efficient management of our vehicle fleet. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in fleet management whilst contributing directly to the success of Redfleet's operations.

Key responsibilities

- Processing vehicle hire and rental requests from customers, including booking confirmations and documentation

- Conducting visual vehicle inspections and documenting the condition of fleet vehicles before and after hire periods

- Assisting with vehicle maintenance scheduling

- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle availability, hire agreements and customer information

- Supporting the reception and dispatch of vehicles, including checking cleaning and preparation

- Providing administrative support to the fleet management team, including data entry and report preparation

- Assisting customers with enquiries regarding vehicle options, pricing and hire terms

- Assisting with fleet inventory management and tracking vehicle locations





- Supporting compliance with fleet management procedures and operational policies

- Contributing to a safe and organised workplace environment

What we're looking for

- High school certificate or equivalent qualification

- Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications

- Customer service experience in a similar industry or role

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Reliable and punctual work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines

- Basic knowledge of vehicles and fleet management (preferred but not essential)

- Valid Australian driver's licence

- Ability to work flexibly when required, including occasional weekend or after-hours support
