About the role

The Coffee Maker is a busy, independent cafe in beautiful Corlette, Port Stephens. This is a hands-on role that is primarily kitchen-based, preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch menu items, but you'll be equally happy jumping behind the coffee machine or helping the front-of-house team when needed.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items

- Complete daily kitchen preparation

- Work independently during busy service periods

- Follow recipes, portioning and presentation standards

- Maintain a clean, organised and food-protected kitchen

- Make quality coffee and assist behind the coffee machine when required

- Help with front-of-house service during busy periods

- Assist with dishes, cleaning and general cafe duties

- Work as part of a small team and help wherever needed

About you

- Previous commercial kitchen or cafe cooking experience preferred





- Confident cooking breakfast and lunch

- Able to work independently and stay calm during busy service

- Barista experience or confident using a commercial coffee machine

- Take pride in food quality and presentation

- Positive, team-oriented attitude

- Reliable, punctual and take pride in your work

- Happy being a true all-rounder rather than being restricted to one area of the cafe
