PO2 - $94,769 to $109,787 pa + superannuation
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community.
The Opportunity
The Electrical Asset Engineer delivers specialist support for the planning and management of statewide electrical assets. The role provides technical advice, analysis and reporting to inform asset performance, data integrity and decision-making. It contributes to improving asset management practices and supports the development of maintenance and renewal strategies for road lighting, traffic signals and Intelligent Transport Systems.
About you
You bring demonstrated knowledge of road lighting, traffic signals and ITS networks, including associated risks, trends and broader considerations. You apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver responsive, customer focused outcomes. You communicate clearly and negotiate effectively with stakeholders, while working independently or collaboratively to deliver quality, risk aware decisions within tight timeframes.
Educational Qualifications /Licences
- Degree in Electrical Engineering providing eligibility for graduate membership as a Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia
- A current driver's licence.
Special Conditions
- A National Police Check (NPC)
is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport and is required to be renewed every three years.
- May be required to attend site visits on occasion.
- Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
