Core duties and responsibilities

- Conduct machine pre starts and checks on plant and equipment required for performing the assigned works to ensure they are safe to use.





- Prepare surfaces for rubber lining using correct techniques for example Sand blasting and buffing to ensure proper adhesion

- Inspecting, repairing or replacing damaged rubber linings on equipment

- Measuring, cutting and apply various rubber linings (soft, hard, ceramic) to surfaces

- Line pipes, tanks, launders, cyclones, distributors and other surfaces with rubber sheeting and test lining for holes or faulty seams.

- Use and apply spray on polyurea protective coatings for screens, chutes etc to protect from corrosion and abrasion

- Follow and enforce safety rules and procedures including wearing PPE required for performing rubber lining, sand blasting and polyurea spraying works safely.

- Complete all required safety documentation before commencing works including G2G, JHA/SWP/SWMS and permit to work

Essential Requirements for the Role

- Trade Certificate III or IV in Rubber Lining

- Australian “C” Class Drivers licence

- Current Working at Heights (completed within 2 years)

- Current Confined Space Entry Training (completed within 2 years)

- Australian High Risk Work License in Forklift and EWP (desirable)

Required Skills and Competencies:

- Experience in rubber lining, rubber wear and protective coatings

- Experience with rubber lining in a mining environment

- Ability to perform in a team with minimum supervision

Required Experiences:





- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity in mining/construction industry
