A leading national civil construction group delivering major infrastructure projects across Australia is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join their Victorian infrastructure team to support a major defence infrastructure project.

With a strong workbook across transport, land development, renewables, water, utilities and defence‑related works, the business continues to expand its capability. This role will initially involve 3 months on site (regional 5:2) for the first 3 months, followed by 2/3 days per week regional and then return to Melbourne after 6 months.

The Role
As a Senior Contract Administrator, you’ll play a critical role in the commercial performance of complex infrastructure projects. You’ll partner closely with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams to ensure contracts, procurement, cost control and commercial processes are executed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage head contract and subcontract administration across multiple civil packages
- Oversee procurement, cost forecasting and monthly reporting
- Assess progress claims, variations and EOTs
- Procurement of Plant, Labour, Materials, Subcontractors, Consultants and Suppliers
- Activities with a focus on cash flow, maximising profit,



accurate cost reporting, cost forecasting, reporting, administration and ensuring compliance with policies, systems and processes
- Maintain accurate commercial documentation and project records
- Support project teams with contractual advice and risk management
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders

About You

- Proven experience as a Senior Contract Administrator on major infrastructure projects
- Robust understanding of contracts, procurement and commercial controls
- Strong upstream contracts experience
- Demonstrable knowledge in AS2124 and AS4000
- Highly organised, detail‑driven and commercially astute
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate
