**Volunteer School Programs & Partnerships Coordinator**
Rethink Australia Foundation Ltd is a youth-led environmental organisation empowering students and schools to drive sustainability through education, technology and community action.
Our work brings together environmental education, student leadership, technology-enabled solutions and partnerships to create meaningful and measurable change. As Rethink Australia grows, we are seeking a School Programs & Partnerships Coordinator to help develop strong, organised and mutually beneficial relationships with schools.
The volunteer will support school outreach, partnership development and program coordination. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands education environments and can help schools engage confidently with Rethink Australia’s programs.
**Key responsibilities**
• Identify schools, education networks and relevant school contacts that may benefit from Rethink Australia’s programs
• Support professional outreach to principals, teachers, sustainability coordinators and other authorised school representatives
• Coordinate introductory discussions, follow-ups and expressions of interest
• Help communicate Rethink Australia’s programs, intended outcomes and participation requirements clearly
• Learn about the needs, priorities and practical constraints of participating schools
• Help adapt program information and engagement materials for school audiences
• Maintain organised records of school contacts, discussions, opportunities and next steps
• Support the onboarding of participating schools and coordinate agreed program activities
• Help develop repeatable processes, templates and resources for school engagement
• Coordinate internally with volunteers working across programs, communications, operations and partnerships
• Gather structured feedback from participating schools and identify opportunities for program improvement
• Support appropriate reporting on school engagement, participation and program outcomes
• Help ensure that commitments made to schools are realistic, documented and followed through
**About you**
We are seeking a reliable and relationship-focused volunteer with professional, academic or practical experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Education or school engagement
• Program or project coordination
• Partnerships or stakeholder relations
• Community engagement
• Environmental or sustainability education
• Youth programs
• Education administration
• Outreach or relationship management
Experience working with schools, teachers, education networks, youth organisations, charities or environmental education programs will be highly regarded.
You may be an experienced education or partnerships professional, an emerging practitioner, a recent graduate or a university student with strong relevant capability. You should be organised, responsive and able to communicate professionally with both external stakeholders and internal team members.
Knowledge of Australian school environments and safeguarding expectations will be valued. A valid Working with Children Check may be required before undertaking school-based or student-facing activities.
The role does not provide authority to make contractual commitments, approve program expenditure or independently represent Rethink Australia without appropriate direction.

The role is fully remote, with the possibility of agreed school or community activities where appropriate. An initial engagement of up to six months is anticipated, requiring approximately three to five hours per week. Some weekday availability during school and business hours will be required.

Approximately 3–5 hours per week for an initial period of up to six months. The role will include an organisational induction, scheduled online discussions, school and stakeholder outreach, partnership coordination and independent program support. Scheduling is flexible, although some weekday availability during school and business hours will be required.
** Training **
A comprehensive induction will be provided covering Rethink Australia’s mission, programs, strategic direction, school engagement objectives, stakeholder groups and internal ways of working. The volunteer will receive access to relevant program information, school materials, communication templates and coordination documents. Guidance will also be provided on appropriate communication, safeguarding boundaries, privacy and approval processes when engaging with schools.
