IT Retail Sales Assistant & Junior Computer Technician

One Systems, part of Fourtech IT Systems, is looking for an enthusiastic IT Retail Sales Assistant & Junior Computer Technician to join our growing Adelaide team.

This is a customer-focused role combining retail sales, computer repairs and basic technical support. It is ideal for someone who enjoys technology, likes helping people and wants to develop practical skills in computer repairs and customer service.

You don't need to be an experienced IT technician. We are looking for someone with a good attitude, strong customer service skills, basic technical knowledge and a genuine willingness to learn.

What you'll be doing
Retail Sales & Customer Service

- Welcome customers and understand their technology requirements

- Recommend laptops, desktops, monitors, accessories and other IT products

- Explain products and technical features in simple, easy-to-understand language

- Process sales, payments, repair bookings and customer orders

- Prepare basic quotations and follow up customer enquiries

- Answer phone, email and in-store enquiries

- Promote relevant products, repair services and IT solutions

- Assist customers with selecting suitable computer upgrades and accessories

- Maintain an organised, skilled and welcoming store environment

- Assist with stock receiving, merchandising and inventory management

Computer Repairs & Technical Support

A key part of this position will be gaining hands-on experience with computer and device repairs.

Depending on your experience and training, you will assist with:

- Laptop and desktop computer troubleshooting

- Diagnosing basic hardware and software faults

- Laptop screen replacement

- Laptop battery replacement

- SSD and RAM upgrades

- Hard drive and storage replacement

- Windows installation and reinstallation

- Computer setup and configuration

- Software installation

- Driver and Windows update troubleshooting

- Basic virus and malware removal

- Data transfer and backup

- Printer and peripheral setup

- Basic Wi-Fi and connectivity troubleshooting

- Setting up new laptops and desktops for customers

- Cleaning and preparing repaired devices for customers

- Testing devices after repairs

- Recording repair jobs, customer notes and work completed





- Assisting experienced technicians with more complex repair work

You will receive practical training and support while developing your technical skills.

Sales & Customer Opportunities

As part of the role, you will also learn how to identify additional products and services that may benefit customers.

This may include:

- Computer upgrades

- Accessories

- New laptops and desktops

- Screen replacements

- Battery replacements

- Data backup and transfer

- Software setup

- Wi-Fi and networking assistance

- Ongoing computer support

- Business computer requirements

You will be encouraged to identify genuine customer needs and recommend suitable One Systems products and services.

Additional performance bonuses may be available for generating new sales opportunities and referring new business customers to One Systems.

What we're looking for

Experience that would be an advantage

The following are desirable but not essential:

- Previous retail or customer service experience

- Experience repairing laptops or desktop computers

- PC building experience

- Laptop screen replacement experience

- Laptop battery replacement experience

- Basic Windows troubleshooting knowledge

- Experience with computer hardware, SSDs and RAM

- Basic networking and Wi-Fi knowledge

- Experience installing Windows and software

- Previous computer shop or repair experience

- Certificate III/IV, Diploma or other IT qualification
