About the role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchenhand Dishwasher to join the team at Mansae Korean BBQ in Melbourne VIC 3000. This is a casual position that plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. As a Kitchenhand Dishwasher, you will ensure that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised, allowing our culinary team to focus on delivering exceptional Korean BBQ experiences to our guests.

What you'll be doing

- Operating commercial dishwashing equipment and hand-washing stations to clean dishes, glassware, cutlery, and cooking utensils

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dishwashing area, including proper disposal of food waste and recycling

- Stacking and storing clean dishes, glasses, and equipment in designated areas throughout the kitchen

- Monitoring water temperature and chemical levels to ensure effective sanitation and compliance with health and safety standards

- Assisting with general kitchen cleaning duties, including floors, walls, and equipment surfaces

- Supporting kitchen staff by preparing ingredients and clearing work stations as needed

- Following all food safety, hygiene,



and health and safety protocols

- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management promptly

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working as a kitchenhand or dishwasher in a commercial kitchen environment

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, busy kitchen workplace

- Physical capability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and work in warm conditions

- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team

- Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation principles

- Flexibility to work casual shifts, including evenings and weekends as required

- Current or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check if required
