About the role

Mansae Korean BBQ is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor / Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team in our QVM location. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in one of Melbourne's premier Korean BBQ establishments. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service standards, managing staff, and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high-quality service and operational excellence that defines Mansae.

What you'll be doing

- Supervising and coordinating waiting staff to ensure efficient and courteous service delivery

- Greeting guests and managing the front-of-house experience with professionalism and warmth

- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and making recommendations based on guest preferences

- Managing table arrangements, seating guests, and ensuring optimal dining flow throughout service

- Training, mentoring and developing team members to achieve high service standards

- Monitoring service quality and addressing any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally

- Assisting with staff scheduling, rostering and performance management

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations

- Supporting the management team with opening and closing procedures

- Identifying opportunities to enhance guest experiences and contribute to operational improvements

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a waiting staff member or in a hospitality service role, preferably in a full-service restaurant environment

- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively

- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact confidently with guests and staff at all levels





- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

- Ability to remain calm, organised and professional in a fast-paced environment

- Strong work ethic with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food handling practices

- A positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality

- Preferred: Experience in Asian cuisine restaurants or familiarity with Korean BBQ service
