Huddle Up Creative

Safety Bay

Build great brands. Rally great people. Make great things happen.

Love marketing, thrive on variety and get a genuine buzz from turning ideas into action?

Huddle Up Creative is looking for an experienced Brand & Marketing Manager to become a key player in our growing team.

This isn't your typical one-brand, in-house marketing role.

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of established businesses, managing a mix of ongoing client relationships and project-based work - helping turn smart brand and marketing strategy into exceptional execution.

If you love people, great brands, creative collaboration, fast-moving environments and the satisfaction of seeing things actually get done, this could be exactly your kind of role.

About the role

Huddle Up Creative works as an outsourced branding and marketing team.

Some clients partner with us on an ongoing basis and we essentially become their internal marketing team. Others come to us for specific three-to-six-month projects, including new websites, brand implementations and our Level Up projects.

Your portfolio will include a combination of both.

Our Brand & Marketing Strategist establishes the overarching strategic direction, positioning and priorities.

Then you become instrumental in answering: Right. How are we actually going to make this happen?

You'll help scope the work, map out what needs to happen and in what order, coordinate the right people, work with the client, review the output and keep everything moving towards the result.

You'll create momentum.

Marketing is a team sport

And you're definitely not sitting on the sidelines. You'll collaborate with specialists across branding, design, website development, copywriting, content, automation and paid media.

Your job isn't to personally be the technical specialist in everything.

But you do need to know marketing.

We're not looking for someone who is simply brilliant at coordinating people and ticking tasks off a list.

You'll need the experience and judgement to look at the work being produced and ask: Is this actually good? Will it work? Could we make it better?

When you're reviewing a landing page, you'll be thinking about customer experience and conversion — not simply whether it's finished. When copy isn't landing, you'll know how to improve it.

When you're planning content, you'll understand the purpose behind it rather than filling a calendar.

And when jumping in yourself is the fastest and most effective way to move something forward, you'll be happy to do it.

We're not here to tick boxes. We care about the quality and effectiveness of the outcome.

What you'll be doing

Your role will include:

- Managing a portfolio of ongoing clients and project-based work

- Turning brand and marketing strategies into clear implementation plans

- Supporting project scoping, including deliverables, sequencing, inputs, timelines and resources

- Managing projects from planning through to completion

- Planning and coordinating integrated marketing activity across websites, content, social media, email and other channels

- Supporting brand implementations, content shoots and campaign rollouts

- Briefing and collaborating with designers, developers, copywriters,

content creators and other specialists

- Reviewing copy, creative, websites and marketing assets before they reach the client

- Setting up project plans, schedules, tasks, systems and workflows

- Maintaining strong client relationships and keeping stakeholders informed

- Using marketing performance and data to make practical recommendations

- Continually looking for ways to make our clients' marketing (and the way we deliver it) better

- Keeping projects moving, people aligned and great ideas turning into real outcomes

You won't need to be a web developer, graphic designer, automation specialist or media buyer. We have great people for those things.

Your strength is understanding how the pieces fit together, knowing what good looks like and bringing the right people together to deliver it.

About you

First and foremost: You genuinely love marketing.

You're curious about brands, consumer behaviour, technology, content, platforms and what's changing in the industry.

You're a bit of a sponge. You notice new trends, want to understand new tools and actively build your knowledge because marketing is a career you want to keep getting better at.

You'll probably thrive at Huddle Up if you:

- Have at least five years' marketing experience, ideally across multiple brands or businesses

- Have strong brand and marketing fundamentals

- Understand websites, content, email marketing, social media and customer journeys

- Can translate strategic direction into practical execution

- Have strong project planning, organisation and prioritisation skills

- Get energy from variety and a fast-moving environment

- Adapt quickly when priorities change

- Love working with people and naturally build relationships

- Can rally people around an idea, deadline or outcome

- Enjoy creative collaboration and contributing ideas

- Take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do

- Have excellent written communication skills and a robust eye for quality

- Are commercially minded, analytical and results-focused

- Are comfortable saying when something needs to be better

Most importantly, you like seeing things happen and to the highest quality output.

What could your week look like?

It's hard to say. And that's kind of the point.

You might start the week meeting with an ongoing client about their marketing priorities, then review copy for a new website.

A Level Up project needs scoping, so you're mapping out deliverables and resources with our strategist.

There's a content shoot coming up. A designer needs feedback. A client calls with an unexpected opportunity.

Priorities move.

You regroup, rally the right people and keep things moving.

Alongside it all, you're making sure the plans, schedules, systems and details are in place so nothing falls through the cracks.

If that kind of variety energises you, you'll love it here.

About Huddle Up

We're not your typical marketing agency. Huddle Up Creative partners with established businesses to help them build stronger brands and grow, combining strategic thinking with the specialist team required to make the work happen.

There are two words you'll hear a lot around here: Efficient + Effective.

We're fast-moving, but we don't believe fast-moving should mean chaotic.

We have strong systems, documented processes and established ways of working because structure allows us to move quickly and produce great work.

You'll receive a thorough handover and plenty of support - but we're also always looking for better ways to do things.

Have an idea? See an opportunity? Discover a better way? Bring it.

A pretty great place to work

You'll be based primarily from our new Huddle Up Business Hub in Safety Bay, Rockingham, just metres from the beach.

It's a creative, professional and collaborative environment designed for great people to do great work, and you'll have the opportunity to help shape the culture as both Huddle Up Creative and the Hub grow.

This is a full-time role operating on a nine-day fortnight, including:

- Every second Friday off

- Flexible working hours

- Hybrid office/WFH flexibility

- No regular client contact expected on Fridays, creating space to catch up, plan and get ahead

- Birthday leave

- Occasional client visits as required

- Plenty of autonomy, support and opportunity to develop

And yes, we want you to have a outstanding life outside of work too.

This probably ISN'T your role if...

We'd rather be upfront.

You probably won't love this role if:

- You want every week to look largely the same

- Switching between brands and projects frustrates you

- You prefer deep focus on one business rather than variety

- You love project management but don't have strong marketing knowledge

- Changing priorities make you uncomfortable

- You prefer working independently rather than collaborating

- You need someone else to continually create momentum for you

- You're happy for something to be finished when you know it could be better

- You're still very early in your marketing career and haven't yet had meaningful exposure to multiple brands or businesses

There are plenty of brilliant marketers who want steadiness and deep focus on one brand. This just isn't that job.

Sound like you?

Your coworkers might describe you as:

Curious. Adaptable. Commercial. Creative. Organised. Great with people.

You have high standards, but you also know when it's time to make the call and keep moving.

You can bring talented people together and turn ideas into outcomes.

You care about your career, you care about the quality of your work, and you genuinely love helping brands become better versions of themselves.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Apply via SEEK with your resume and a cover letter telling us a little about you, the marketing work you love doing and why Huddle Up caught your attention. We have a thorough application process, and next steps involve completing our internal application questionnaire and behavioural profiling.
