About the role

As a Hire Controller, you will be responsible for managing equipment hire from enquiry through to return, while providing excellent customer service and ensuring equipment is available when required.

Key responsibilities

- Managing customer enquiries and hire bookings

- Coordinating equipment availability, deliveries and returns

- Preparing quotes and processing hire orders

- Maintaining accurate hire records and documentation

- Communicating with customers, drivers and internal staff

- Following up outstanding hires and equipment

- Ensuring a high level of customer service

- Assisting with general administration and day-to-day hire operations

About you

- Experienced in equipment hire, construction, transport or a similar industry

- Highly organised with strong attention to detail

- Confident communicating with customers and staff

- Able to multitask and work effectively under pressure

- Reliable, proactive and willing to take ownership

- Comfortable using computers and hire/admin systems

- A team player with a positive attitude
