About the role
This a temporary full time contract role and represents an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience within a unique environment which will be constantly changing and challenging. Reporting directly to the Product Development Manager, you will be involved in the following important aspects of BlockTexx’s operation:
- Sampling, quality testing and analysing raw materials, process products and final products throughout the entire operation.
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to support quality analysis and product development.
This role will suit a candidate who would like to work on the forefront of textile recycling.

Key Position Requirements:
- Proven skills and ability to undertake a range of hands-on tasks associated including laboratory testing and analysis tasks.
- Ability to work unsupervised and to take accountability for the accurate and timely completion of tasks including problem solving issues encountered.
- Excellent organisational skills and a high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; including the ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with members of the R&D; and production teams.
- Well-developed computer skills including the proficiency with using a range Microsoft Office programs to compile data and to prepare reports.
- Relevant qualifications in the Science field. Certificate 3 or 4 in laboratory testing or newly graduated chemistry students welcomed.
Relevant experience in particular in relation to the manufacturing sector would be highly regarded .
