Koonambil Aged Care is seeking caring, reliable and motivated casual Personal Care Workers to join our residential aged care team in Coonamble.

About the role

As a Personal Care Worker, you will support residents with their daily care needs while promoting their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities.

- Supporting residents with mobility, meals, hydration and continence care.

- Delivering care in accordance with individual care plans and resident preferences.

- Observing and promptly reporting changes in residents’ health or wellbeing.

- Completing accurate and timely care documentation.

- Supporting residents’ emotional, social and cultural wellbeing.

- Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the broader care team.

- Maintaining residents’ privacy, dignity, choice and independence.

- Following infection prevention, workplace safety and organisational requirements.

Casual employees may be offered morning, afternoon, night, weekend and public holiday shifts according to operational requirements and availability.

About you

To be successful, you will ideally have:

- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or an equivalent qualification or willing to obtain.

- A genuine commitment to supporting older people.

- Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.

- The ability to follow care plans, policies and clinical directions.

- Sound documentation and time-management skills.

- Reliability,



flexibility and a professional approach.

- The physical capacity to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role.

- Current Australian working rights.

Appointment will be subject to satisfactory reference checks and all required pre-employment screening and clearances for working in residential aged care.
