Active Support Australia is seeking motivated support workers to work across shifts that can include weekends.

The available shifts are

Bundall QLD 4217

- 9am to 5pm - Monday to Sunday

- 5pm to 9am - Monday to Sunday (Inactive Sleepover)

Benowa QLD 4217

- 6am to 2pm - Monday to Sunday

- 2pm to 8pm - Monday to Sunday

- 6pm to 8am - Monday to Sunday (Inactive Sleepover)

The Burleigh Heads QLD 4220

- 10am to 3pm - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

The Role

- Provide compassionate high-quality care.

- Assistance with medication

- Assistance with psychosocial support, appointments, and domestic tasks such as cleaning and cooking.

- Personal Care.

- Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress.

- Community access activities.

- Full-time equivalent casual hours for the right candidate.

About You

- Have the capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks.

- Experienced in general housekeeping and cleaning duties.

- Able to follow procedures and ensure the clients’ personal preferences are adhered to.

- Confident communicator who can maintain qualified boundaries with clients and their families.

Essentials

- Fully Covid-19 Vaccinated as per QLD Government Regulations.

- Current driver’s licence & Mobile Phone.

- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate.

- Current Working with Children Blue Card.

- Current and satisfactory Criminal History Check or a National Police Certificate (or willing to obtain).

- Current Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check.

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (ndiscommission.gov.au) to access this free module). At completion of the course, you will be provided with a certificate of completion which you can forward to ••••@activesupportautralia.com.au

Desirable

- Experience with any of the following – Mental Health, Dysphagia Management, Medication Management.

- Manual Handling Experience (Hoist)

- A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent disability related qualifications.

- Available for day and night shifts.

- Experience in doing personal care

- Diabetes management
