About the role

The Electrical Trades assistant is responsible for the support of qualified electricians in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical switchboards and equipment. They will assist with a variety of tasks in regard to the construction of switchboards and general workshop maintenance while maintaining a robust commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

- Assist electrical tradesmen with the construction of switchboards

- Prepare and organise tools, materials, and equipment for daily work activities

- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and switchboards

- Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas

- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

- Complete basic documentation and job records as required





- Attend site meetings and toolbox talks

- Work collaboratively with electricians, apprentices, supervisors, and other trades

- Support production teams as required to meet delivery schedules

About you

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to follow instructions and work safely

- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

- Current driver's licence and/or reliable transport

- Good attention to detail

- Strong commitment to safety and quality

- Reliable and punctual

- Practical, hands-on approach to work
