About the Role

A great opportunity exists for an HSEQ skilled to step into a hands‑on coordination role supporting a busy manufacturing and refinery operation in Bajool. Working closely with the Site Manager and national safety leaders, you will drive continuous improvement across Quality, Safety and Environment, ensuring compliance, strong systems, and a proactive safety culture.

This role suits someone who enjoys being embedded in operations, influencing frontline behaviours, and strengthening site performance through practical, structured HSEQ leadership.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead and support a broad range of HSEQ activities, including:

- Daily product sampling, testing and reporting

- Investigating internal and external quality complaints

- Conducting internal audits and participating in external compliance audits (ISO9001, ISO14001, HACCP, ISO45001)

- Promoting and maintaining site Quality, Safety and Environment policies and procedures

- Leading risk assessments and advising on hazard control measures

- Supporting incident investigations, documentation and timely reporting

- Coordinating rehabilitation for employees with work‑related injuries

- Facilitating inductions for employees and contractors into the Integrated Management System

- Managing safety, environmental and training budgets

- Training, motivating and coordinating staff to work safely and efficiently to meet objectives





- Challenging current systems and driving continuous improvement across HSEQ performance

About You

You bring strong attention to detail, urgency, and a practical approach to safety and quality. You enjoy working with operators, influencing behaviours, and improving systems.

You will also demonstrate:

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability

- Excellent communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset

- Ability to challenge current practices and implement improvements

- High computer literacy and strong numerical/recording skills

Qualifications & Experience

The position description outlines the following desirable qualifications:

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or OHS

- 0–3 years’ experience in salt or similar industry (transferable manufacturing experience also considered)

- Additional qualifications in auditing, rehab/RTW, incident investigation, drug & alcohol testing, laboratory analysis, or training & assessment
