About the role
This is a varied, hands-on position for a qualified electrician working alongside our electrical division, ST8 Wide Electrical, delivering complete water, electrical and automation solutions across the Darling Downs. Your work covers pumping systems, irrigation, industrial electrical, automation, telemetry and remote monitoring. You could be installing a bore pump one day, fault-finding a processing facility the next, or commissioning a VSD, control panel or telemetry system on a remote agricultural site.
Key responsibilities
Electrical installation, maintenance and breakdown work
Wiring and commissioning pumps, motors and control equipment
Installing and fault-finding VSDs, motor starters and control panels
Electrical work associated with bore pumps, irrigation and pressure systems
Troubleshooting industrial and agricultural electrical faults
Installing automation, telemetry and remote-monitoring equipment
Testing installations and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
Completing accurate job notes, timesheets and service records
Communicating with clients and coordinating with our irrigation and field teams
Supporting apprentices and less-experienced team members
About you
Current Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence
Current Queensland driver licence
Construction Industry White Card
Current CPR and LVR qualifications
Australian working rights

Have robust fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Can work autonomously and take ownership of a job
Communicate clearly with clients and teammates
